The user sends out a powerful explosion of wind, which can easily level almost an entire area. It is known that a variation of the technique involves a smaller blast of wind which gets ignited with flame, making it stronger and more damaging to the given target.


[Kuchiyose no Jutsu (Summoning Technique)]

This Jutsu, using a contract, Seal, and the user's blood, binds an animal to the user. The type of animal is determined by the contract and Seal performed. The blood is used as a signature to make the contract, which can be written on a scroll or tattoo, valid. Once bound, the animal can be summoned to perform a task or help the user in battle.
The summon usually is subservient to the summoner. However, the more powerful summons, for instance Gamabunta, or Manda, demand respect and loyalty from their summoners. Manda even demands hundreds of live human sacrifices.

This jutsu is used to strengthen the seal on the Kyuubi. The original seal allowed Kyuubi's chakra to seep out into Uzumaki Naruto, but the additional seal disturbs this, preventing Naruto from using Kyuubi's chakra and even controlling his own chakra properly.

This technique is used to cause one's opponent to lose the advantage of movement. Freezing them in their tracks, this creates an opening for a more dangerous attack. The ANBU members are known especially for this Jutsu.

Originally developed for spying activities, this technique can be done after some surgery and actual body modification. The user can then stretch and twist any parts of their body at any angle, elongating and allowing themselves to coil around their opponent, surprising them. This can also be used to make the user's body more malleable and snakelike.

Orochimaru commonly uses cursed seals on his most powerful followers. To apply a cursed seal, Orochimaru needs to actually bite his intended target. Because he has sharp fangs and an extendable neck, this is a relatively simple task. The seal then appears somewhere on the target's body, and they subsequently lose consciousness. Sometime later, should they survive, they will awaken with the first level of the seal active and be enraged due to the seal's influence. The seals work by forcibly drawing chakra from the user's body, as well as increased physical performance.
The seal has two different levels, and the types of transformations differ from seal to seal. When inactive, the seal is simply a black tattoo on the user's body. Orochimaru has a wide array of cursed seals, so the appearance of the seal will usually vary from user to user. Each seal always has three identical marks arranged in a circular pattern. When first activated, the marks on the seal glow and replicate, spreading over the user's body. This is known as the first level of the seal. The degree to which this occurs is dependent on the user, and the degree to which it spreads is proportionate to the overall effect it has. Normally, the wearer of the seal will also experience slight pains during the activation of this level. The second and final level of the seal causes the black marks to completely envelop the user. This is followed by an unnatural alteration of the user's body, with the only common features being yellow eyes with a black sclera. When in this level, the seal eats away at the user's personality, driving them to madness if used too long.

This jutsu allows the user to copy the face of another person, effectively impersonating the said person. Orochimaru uses it all the time to hide the face of the body he has possesed.


[Edo Tensei (Summoning: Impure World Resurrection)]

This technique allows the user to revive the dead. The user must first sacrifice a living human in order to tie the deceased person's soul to the world (unlike the normal summoning technique, which only uses some of the user's blood). Then, the body is formed out of dust and dirt and rises out of the ground in front of the user inside a wooden coffin. This technique can also be used on multiple people at once.


[Fushi Tensei (Living Corpse Reincarnation)]

This Kinjutsu, developed by Orochimaru, allows him to transfer his mind to someone else's body.
If repeated periodically, it basically grants the user immortality as long as the user can find new host bodies. Orochimaru can only perform this technique once about every three years. It also seems that when the three years are almost over, he is forced to moved into another host, as the previous one begins to reject him. However this may just be if the quality of the host isn't up to the power Orochimaru contains and if he had a proper container it is believed that he could stay in the host indefinitely.


[Kusanagi no Tsurugi: Ku no Tachi (Kusanagi Sword: Long Sword of the Heavens)]

This technique arms Orochimaru with the Kusanagi, of Japanese legend. Orochimaru opens his mouth and a snake comes out, opening its mouth, and produces the Sword of Kusanagi. In the anime, it glows a white, bluish aura, possibly symbolic of the name "sword of the heavens".


[Seneijashu (Hidden Shadow Snake Hand)]

Users of this technique project several snakes from their wrist as they make a punching motion towards their intended target. The snakes often bite and wrap around the given target, potentially inflicting multiple wounds and are even capable of poisoning the victim as well. This technique is possibly tied to a similar Kuchiyose no Jutsu (Summoning Technique) that involves venomous snakes.


[Seneitajashu (Hidden Shadow Many Snakes Hand)]

Alike to the Sen'eijashu, but with far more snakes. In addition, these snakes appear to be much longer than the height of a typical human and can extend to greater lengths.


[Sanju Rashomon (Triple Rashomon)]

This advanced version of the Kuchiyose: Rashōmon is used by Orochimaru. It creates three demonic forms of the main gate of old Kyoto, and is a more advanced form of the "Rashōmon" ultimate defense. Orochimaru is able to summon this without the aid of another individual. He gets around by using this technique with both hands for the summon.

This Kuchiyose creates a demonic form of the main gate of old Kyoto. It is also a form of ultimate defense. It was previously believed to be required to have two people to summon; however, Orochimaru has been able to summon three of these gates by himself all at once, with his Sanjū Rashōmon (Triple Rashōmon).
